Fernwood House is a small independent online shop selling throws, blankets, and pillow covers for everyday living. The store opened in September 2026.
How we actually work
We do not manufacture our own products. We source them from established textile suppliers, review the specifications those suppliers provide, and write every product page ourselves.
We are telling you this up front because a lot of online shops in this category obscure it. Knowing where a product comes from helps you judge what you are buying.
What this means in practice:
- We publish what the supplier states — fibre content, measured size, care instructions — on every product page.
- We say so when a supplier does not state something. If we do not know the exact fibre blend, the page says that instead of guessing. You will find this wording on several of our listings.
- We do not invent specifications to make a listing look more complete.
Shipping and delivery, stated plainly
Orders are processed in 1–3 business days. Delivery to the United States typically takes about 7–14 days after processing. We are not a next-day retailer and we do not pretend to be.

Returns
Thirty days from delivery for a change of mind, provided the item is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition. Seven days to report a damaged, defective, or incorrect item — send photos and we will make it right. No restocking fees. Full terms on the Returns & Refunds page.
What we sell, and what we do not
We sell home textiles: throws, blankets, and pillow covers. Pillow covers are sold as covers only — no insert is included, and every listing states this. We do not sell furniture, rugs, or bedding sets.
We stock cotton, acrylic, faux fur, chenille, and flannel. Our Care Guide explains how each of those has to be washed, because the differences are real and getting them wrong ruins the item.

Why “honestly labeled”
It is the one thing we are trying to do differently. Home textiles are sold on photographs, and the details that decide whether you keep using something — the fibre, the real measured size, whether it survives a wash — are usually buried or missing. We put them on the page before you buy, and we tell you when we do not know.
